I can help you with some English vocabulary on the topic.  The term refers to a re-engraved die.  So for instance, NK24 Plate III comes with and without re-engraved dies. Individual dies were touched up by hand to sharpen the details of the design before being put back into use printing stamps.   Similar action was taken with most of the dies for NK25 Plate III.  If you have a copy of Norgeskatalogen it will show you the difference quite clearly with illustrated stamps.  Both types of stamps occur within the same sheet of stamps.   

 

Lesser forms of "oppgravering" re-engraving are known on a number of other stamps from Norway.  NK21/NK88 have a small line under the bell of the Posthorn that is from re-engraving on some dies.  This comes on soem dies in Plates II and III.  NK79 occurs occasionally with a re-engraving under the crown atop the Posthorn.  Many other early stamps show minor re-engravings in an effort to enhance individual portions of the design.  These often correct breaks or flaws in the die. Most of these minor corrections are in the posthorn mouthpiece or bell, or in the lettering.
